By Sydney __________________________
At the bright afternoon,
the parents came home from work.
Dinner could wait,
the laundry could wait
tonight had other plans.
The TV went dark;
the real show was about to start
at the heart of the city.
Electricity bills could rest easy tonight.
Children poured out of their homes,
clutching candies like on Halloween,
but only the artist wore the costume.
When everyone gathered
Their eyes focus on the show
A commercial show, directly
planned by the kingdom.
Free show, real, live,
without a sensor.
The artist hung suspended
in the middle of the city.
A father, mother, and two children.
Entertaining the people
like circus performers.
And the crowd laughed
until their mouths ran dry.
Some gathered little stones,
cheerfully tossing them
like coins to pay the entertainers.
